Common privacy notice
This tool-specific layer, effective September 2026, supplements the Sorola controller privacy notice, which identifies the controller and explains legal bases, common technical data, recipients, transfers, retention and your rights.
Effective date: 20 August 2026
This policy applies to Sorola ExportView, which opens password-manager exports for viewing in the browser.
1. Local processing
ExportView reads the JSON or ZIP file you choose and decrypts it in your browser. The export, its passwords, the export password and the resulting table are not uploaded to Sorola's server. The tool does not use a server API, form submission, `fetch` request or other transfer to process the file.
The data remains in browser memory while the tool is in use. It is not saved to `localStorage`, cookies, a database or other persistent browser storage. CSV export is also created as a browser Blob and downloaded directly to the user's device.
2. Export password
If an export is encrypted, you enter its password in the browser dialog. The password is used only with browser cryptography to validate and decrypt the file. We do not receive, see or store the password.
The tool supports password-protected JSON exports and encrypted ZIP exports from the managers shown in the selector. Other encryption formats are not attempted.
3. Telemetry and third parties
Google Tag Manager loads only cookie-free Plausible Analytics. ExportView does not add the file name, password, export contents, service names, or table data to analytics or the URL. The export is not sent to Google, Plausible, Sorola, or another third-party service.
4. Your responsibility
Do not open an unencrypted export on an untrusted device. Browser extensions, malware or another person using the device may see passwords displayed in the browser. Clear the results and close the tab when finished. Also delete unnecessary export files securely.
5. Contact
For privacy questions, contact contact.make@sorola.fi.
Cookie-free site analytics
Google Tag Manager loads only Plausible Analytics. Plausible measures page views and form, outbound-link and download events without cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. Measurement may process the page URL, title, referrer, and browser/device information. Performance measurement uses only the product, a coarse page class, rounded Core Web Vitals, and a capped error count. Content you process in a tool is not intentionally added to analytics.
